PRIDE OF THE ILOCANO CULTURE
Ilocos Sur is a province that have many festivals to show. It is a happy province in Northern Luzon. One of the festivals that Ilocos Sur showcases is the Kannawidan Festival. It is celebrated every last week of January. Kannawidan is one way to represent the Ilocano cultures.
Ilocos Sur is in itself the word "attraction".Our very own province that is full of remarkable cultures and traditions that we Bigueños are very proud of.And it's known to be culturally enriched place with endearing and worth knowing historical significance and astonishing Places just like the calle crisologo,Bantay Bell Tower and Etc.
All of these are evidence that Kannawidan Festival is already becoming a fast rising festival in the country as shown by the number of participants and tourist who flocked and become a part of the festival. Kannawidan indeed is an attraction because it showcases the culture of Ilocanos that made them distinct from other ethnic groups of the Philippines.

BE THE CHANGE, THE WORLD WANT TO SEE
“Most people want to change the world to improve their lives, but the world they need to change first is the one inside themselves.”-John C. Maxwell. If you want to see something in your world, you need to first have it within you. One word, six letters but every one of us needs, the change. An unavoidable fact in which everything must be changed, with no permanent existence in this world except for the word change.
If you want to change the world start it with yourself. Improve your personal growth. We can see the better world if we change for the better world you want to see. Because change is you, not change the world. So, start moving.

Vigan is an island, which used to be detached from the mainland by three rivers - the great Abra River, the Mestizo River and the Govantes River. It is unique among the Philippine towns because it is the country’s most extensive and only surviving historic city that dates back to the 16th century Spanish colonial period.
A couple of days ahead of the Vigan Town Fiesta another celebration kicks off the start of the whole Town Fiesta. Longganisa Festival is held every January 22 wherein there is a longganisa-themed parade and other events as well. Longganisa is a native version of Mexican salami, which has a garlic flavor that has become an all time breakfast favorite. Various stalls that sell Vigan’s pride will be seen along the streets in town.
